LGBT Cancer Survivor Survey
Introduction
Howard Brown Health Center is collaborating with the Lesbian Community Cancer Project and the University of Illinois at Chicago to gather information on the experiences and needs of survivors across the country and around the globe. The information gathered from this survey will be use to guide the design a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) cancer survivor research center. The investigators of this study are also committed to publishing the results to make them accessible to community-based organizations across the country interested in serving the needs of LGBT cancer survivors.
According to the National Cancer Institute Office of Cancer Survivorship, an individual is considered a cancer survivor from the time of diagnosis, through the balance of his or her life. If you are a cancer survivor who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, we would like for you to participate in this survey research study. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The survey will cover a range of issues associated with your cancer diagnosis and treatment, your emotional response to your cancer, and services that you may need as a cancer survivor.
